Diurna

Free during the beta · Mac and Windows

Remember every meeting. Your data stays yours.

Diurna records from your computer, with no bot in the call, and writes the minutes with sources. Keep everything on your computer; if you use AI, only text leaves, to EU servers that keep nothing.

No bot in the call · On your computer or in the EU · Never used for training

App preview: the minutes of a meeting, with the selected decision linked to the exact sentence in the transcript.

Privacy

You always know where your data is.

Many notetakers send your meeting audio to their own servers, often in the United States. Diurna starts from your computer: you choose, meeting by meeting, whether anything leaves.

Only on your computer

Audio
On your computer, encrypted. Deleted when you decide.
Transcript and minutes
On your computer, with no external AI models.
On our servers
Only your account. Usage stats are anonymous and never include content.

Computer and EU servers

Audio
On your computer. With cloud transcription it passes through an EU server and isn’t kept.
Transcript and minutes
The text goes to an AI model on EU servers: zero retention, no training.
On our servers
Only the meetings you choose to sync, on servers in Spain and Frankfurt.

Every meeting shows, at the top, the path its data took: only on your computer, or on EU servers too.

No bot in the call

Your computer records, not an extra guest. We give you the text to let participants know.

Encrypted on your computer

Audio and text are encrypted, with the key in the system keychain (Keychain on Mac, Credential Manager on Windows). Audio deletes itself after the period you choose.

Never used for training

AI models run with zero retention: providers can’t keep your meetings or use them for training.

How it works

Press a key. Diurna does the rest.

Nothing to set up before the call and no extra participant: it records your computer’s audio, transcribes locally and writes the minutes when the meeting ends.

  1. 01Record

⌘⇧R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows, or one click from the calendar reminder. Works with Zoom, Meet, Teams and in the meeting room too.

  2. 02Transcribes on your computer

You see the transcript as people talk; when the call ends, the final, more accurate one arrives. On your computer, or on an EU server if you choose cloud transcription.

  3. 03Writes the minutes

Decisions, actions with owner and deadline, open questions. Each item with its minute.

After the meeting

Everything in its place, with the source beside it.

Minutes, answers and reminders all come from the same transcript. That’s why every line can be checked in one click.

Minutes you can check

Click the minute: the exact sentence, who said it, the audio. If an item has no source, it doesn’t make the minutes.

Ask all your meetings

Questions in English or Italian, answers with footnotes. If it can’t find it, it tells you.

Five minutes before, you’re up to speed

Your calendar triggers a reminder: what was decided last time and what is still open.

Did you say “by Friday”?

Commitments made out loud become reminders, with the deadline understood from speech. The ones owed to you, too.

Questions

What people ask us most

Do I need to tell participants I’m recording?

Yes. No bot doesn’t mean recording in secret: on the first recording of every series Diurna asks you to inform participants and prepares the message to paste in the chat.

Which video call apps does it work with?

All the ones that play audio on your computer: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Webex, FaceTime and others. We don’t connect to the platform: we record system audio and the microphone. It works in meeting rooms too, with the microphone only.

What happens to the audio?

It stays encrypted on your computer. After the retention period you set it is deleted automatically; transcript and minutes stay, so quotes keep working.

Are the minutes written by AI?

On your computer, the basic minutes are extracted without external models. With AI minutes, the transcript text goes to a model on European servers, with no retention and no training; we only keep items whose quote really appears in the transcript.

Does it work on Windows and iPhone? Other languages?

You record on Macs with Apple Silicon and, in beta, on 64-bit Windows 10 and 11; the iPhone app is coming. Languages: English and Italian. People who don’t record read minutes and Memory in the browser.

Stop taking notes. Start citing them.

Free during the beta, no credit card. Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 14.2 or later) and 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, in beta.
